but as if by God we’ve been divinely played
destined to meet but not fated to stay
Bakit kung kailan hindi ko na akala
Kailang pag-ibig man ay tila ba banyaga
Dinig mo ba’ng bulong ng mga makatang
Pinagtagpo ngunit di itinadhana
and just when I thought to me it’s never dawning
when love seemed nothing but a foreign thing
do you hear the silent rhymes these poets say
destined to meet but not fated to stay
