what lasted for a moment
felt like eternity in a whim
one slight brush; your gentlest touch,
and my soul melted through my skin
sudden- short-lived,
but it took me through a thousand realms
of pastel pinks and warm yellows,
silly oranges overwhelmed
I felt butterflies fluttered,
dancing deep within my core;
my spirit shivered like rhythmic
quivering of a harpsichord
frostbitten, struck, smitten;
sparkling chills rush through my spine
and before I knew, I glimpsed at you
stunning with those ocean eyes
and I knew it’s true,
you felt that too…
but only for a moment.
