One that tells of love;
One of kindness, not despair:
Our true and everlasting.

I woke up dreaming
of orange-ruffled sunsets
in golden highlights;
head resting on your shoulder
in a midsummer twilight

and although I can’t
freeze every precious moment,
just let me at least
try to keep bits and pieces
with a click, and a shutter

let me out of here
get me out of my own mind
please take me somewhere
somewhere memories don’t bite
somewhere I could be alive

with embers of rue
ignite the mundane spirit
remind them of hell
remind them what it looks like
guised as a gentle being
