I wonder what kind I’d be?
Would I be a sonnet?
A ballad perhaps?
Maybe a profound haiku:
cryptic, abstract-
that’d be lit.
Maybe I could be an epic?
A saga of bittersweet adventures
A grandiose tale of most modest endeavors
Oh I could lay waste a legend!
A folktale…
-myth to my own existence
I’d plague all tongues that speak of reverence
And like wildfire
-for centuries –
my flames shall cleanse
Ah yes,
I’d be lit.

Off atop cotton sails
Guided by heralds
