It must be kindness…

How the sun keeps on shining
Even to those who resent its warmth;
How wild flowers leave a gentle fragrance
To those who left them harmed;
How the rain falls ever so gently
Even to those who wish it gone;
How a tree provides shade and shelter
Even to those who did it wrong

It must be kindness…

How a child’s pure innocence
Can make a hopeless person
Want to smile again;
And how their laughter
Can make a weary spirit
Forget how bitter life has been.

that made you stronger

Be thankful to all the tears you’ve cried
that cleansed your vision
and made your spirit gentler

Patience is accepting
that things can happen differently
than how we’d want them to.
Patience is having faith
that what is meant to come
will find its way to you.
Patience is knowing
that dawn will break
and the morning sun will rise.
Patience is waiting
and being able to find serenity
throughout the passing of time.
And sometimes, patience
may seem sad and gloomy,
but the happiness that follows
is much sweeter and bright.

existence is poignant; bittersweet.
but within its transience, beauty lies.
the kind that mocks sorrowful ends
with its ethereal and incomparable demise.
　
delicate and inherently fleeting,
flowers bloom wildly in delicate displays
of joyful hues in gentle passing;
a stunning, albeit melancholic fate.
　
so appreciate every fleeing moment,
and all coming and passing days.
for the beauty you experience within them
is rare and will never be the same.
　
throughout every falling blossoms,
and all the changes of the moon,
in the passing of the seasons,
and even the flow of monsoons
　
nothing’s certain and all will pass
as life reshapes through constant changes.
but new beauty, perhaps of a different kind,
will arrive as you go through all its phases.

Nature speaks of perfect harmony
in ways often abstract and discreet.
From the changing of the seasons to the flourishing of trees,
and in the essence of almost anything that breathes.

For everything is conducted by a gradual process
where nature wears all the colors of life;
from the beautiful blossoms and festive greens
to the golds of autumns and winter whites.

It teaches us to embrace contradictions
and make ourselves one with change;
find balance between the mind, the body, and the spirit,
and find order in disarray.

For only when we’ve come to accept our darkness
can we finally find our truest light.
Because for leaves to grow and bathe in sunshine
its roots have to reach down the deepest height.
