when I’m scared
and out of faith
is who I call for
when living frightens
and hope betrays
is my prayer
when I feel helpless
and out of words
is the greatest answer
to every orison
God’s ever heard

Speak to the stars, my love
Confess to them your sins
Tell the sun of your sullen tales
And paint my galaxies green
You took away my moonlight
But I learned to glow alone, my dear
So forgive me for not being able to stop crying
And I’ll forgive you for not shedding me a tear
I tried my all to fix you…
I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to break.

Knights without valor
To a king without a crown
These few fallen soldiers
Have been turned into clowns
Their shrines have been sullied
In temples of ruined realms
Amidst a land that is barren
In an ambient of thousand elms
They were called “Chivalrous“

I loved it when you look at me
with your sweet and candid smile
and how you do those silly faces…
those blissful sparkles in your eyes
you’ve shown me joyful revelries
and moments you wished frozen
Those picture perfect memories
that I’ve never once forgotten
I’ve captured them all into portraits
and cached them as my own
All it took was a click and a shutter
and forever they were cloned
I used to hold your silent thoughts
in landscapes of lovely scenery:
sunrise, blue skies, and wide horizons
moon-kissed oceans and greenery
I have to say, I miss our travels
those sunset train ride window views
Those twilight mattes and pastel sunsets
and oh those pretty midnight hues
And yet, alas, you’ve got something better
Lighter, thinner, much easier to bring
It even has that thing called “filters”
And much more awesome splendor things
But I hope someday I’d wake again
to see your smiling face once more
and get to capture one last shot

My fortress
My base camp
My recon squad
My execution troop
To the lady who’s always been
My gentlest pillow
My sturdiest wall
My quietest alarm
My loudest conscience
To the lady who’s worth
A hundred soldiers
A thousand doctors
A million teachers
And a lifetime worth of friends
To the lady who pushes me from heights
so I can learn how to fly
and catches me
every time I fall
To the lady who plucks her own feathers
to patch up mine
and fixes my heart
with strands from her own
To her who shaped me
…my molder
…my clay
Accept my longest poem
My shortest rhythm
My sincerest speech…
For taking up a zillion and one roles in my life
I thank you most for being a mother-
My mother
For a zillion and one times
for a lifetime and one day more

for the words that come ⠀ ⠀ ⠀
from the devil’s tongue ⠀ ⠀ ⠀
mirror the vilest of one’s ruse ⠀ ⠀ ⠀

⠀ ⠀ ⠀ is to bring down judgement

a slumbering deep ⠀ ⠀ ⠀

a sinister core to an infernal realm ⠀ ⠀ ⠀

⠀ ⠀ ⠀ gives grimful shape
⠀ ⠀ ⠀ to his grief and hideous sorrow
in dawn-less nights ⠀ ⠀ ⠀
and lucid spite ⠀ ⠀ ⠀
shedding wings and dusting halos ⠀ ⠀ ⠀
⠀ ⠀ ⠀ he seeks salvation
⠀ ⠀ ⠀ and absolution
⠀ ⠀ ⠀ from sins of his foolish arrogance
for his scarlet rage ⠀ ⠀ ⠀
now gone in ages ⠀ ⠀ ⠀
Drowned in shameful ignorance ⠀ ⠀ ⠀
⠀ ⠀ ⠀ in desperation
⠀ ⠀ ⠀ he seeks redemption
⠀ ⠀ ⠀ imposing justice as the devil
will he be forgiven? ⠀ ⠀ ⠀
his sins forgotten? ⠀ ⠀ ⠀
or will darkness pull him back towards Evil? ⠀ ⠀ ⠀

A dreamer’s wonderland
Home to all fantasies
from far away lands
Whatever do we have here?
Oh do I hear you say?
Quite plenty of you ask me
I’ll tell you; right away!
Pixie dusts and sparkles
And talking honey bears
A friendly mouse that whistles
And a carrot-loving hare
Princes and princesses
And jungle royalties
Frosty queens and witches
…and LOTS of sorcery
We also have mermaids!
And a bandit prince too
with his clever li’l primate
and a genie- make that two
Did I mention sorcery?
Oh yes, lotsss of it!
Curses, ugly beasts,
and slippers made with magic
Oh puffles! I forgot!!
We have pirates! – quite a lot
Hunting treasures and whatnots
Scouring seas for golden pots
oh! that boy who’s never older
in his promised Neverland
and his tiny little tinker
as his witty wing(ed) (wo)man
ah, yes… I’d go on
with these tales of adventures
for the list is quite long
that, in fact, is for sure
But remember that all these
wondrous stories that we tell
mean to teach important values
to help you fare well
So don’t ever stop dreaming
even in your darkest days…
your rainbow will be shining
to chase away your pains
All you need is some pixie dust
and a bit of Disney sparkle…
some days you kinda have to just
have faith in the impossible

Yahalloo! I wrote this piece for a challenge called #FandomDay challenge.
I think it’s pretty much obvious that I am a HUGE fan of Disney 😂
This world does a remarkable job at destroying every fairy tale fantasy I’ve had as a child, but the hope and warm sparkles that those Disney tales brought me will always remain in this feeble heart of mine…
I will always be a dreamer ✨

Where once was light
now darkness falls
her idyllic life
now jailed in walls
Tainted with hues
of emerald spite
what once a regal
grandiose sight
Her throne, enchanted
is now but ruins
of stones misshapened
by love’s undoing
Tragic love story;
far undiscerned:
She loved too deeply,
and deeply she mourned
Now once an innocent
and blissful soul
emerged hell-bent
with wicked goals
From a hero’s princess
in sparkling haven
She drowned in darkness
and rose a villain.

I am known as the fool,
the clown, the jester.
I call all the tricks;
I’m the face of all clever.
I know of no suit
for I am my own.
I’m the ace of all trades,
King to all thrones.
No one dare defy me
for I am the worst best.
They cower at my cunning
and laugh at all my jest.
Blind to black and red,
I’m the trump of the wild.
Behold, I am the deck
that all trades compile.
I am the beginning
and the end as well.
And I laugh at my bearing
like everyone else…

Once upon a time
somewhere far beyond
was a queen gone evil
and a witch of wicked bond
Both a sinister
fruits of the same tree
one ruled over a kingdom
and the other sorcery
Once upon a time
in a twist of silly fate
evil met wicked
in a not-so-friendly state
All lands of magic
trembled in doom
of the queen’s scarlet curses
and the witch’s emerald fumes
Once upon a time
in stains of green and red
were forces of the same kind
one evil… one wicked
“Red apples are so sickly sweet!”
“And green apples are just… BITTER!”
Ah, villains-
…villains ever after
